I love the Daily 13 and have been using it since it came out. I was excited to try 15 when it came in the sub box and used it all of September. It was a bit of an adjustment as it has a ton more space for tasks- sometimes too much- and has the dot grid space on the left rather than a full 2 day at a glance.
After using it for a month, I have to say I like it but would love it, with a few changes. To better understand how I am using this, here is a bit of insight. First, I am an investment advisor, CFP and company owner and have an overwhelming amount of data/tasks to manage each day. While I use paper planners, I also have a muscular CRM with workflows for each client process and task as well the most recent version of Outlook for emails and tasks (their new task area is great!) I am also both a decorative and functional planner and like a balance decor and tasks in my daily. The Daily 13 has a ton of blank white space at the bottom for Decor while allowing for my schedule and tasks at the top. Any task overflow can always go into a half sheet that I keep in my planner. While I love the Daily 13, it has one big list rather than organized sections. I really wanted a bit more structure to my list without giving up space.
Enter the Daily 15. I immediately loved the 3 boxed areas for list making. It allows for a clean way to categorize your lists. It IS a lot of space, and I found that on days that I am in meetings all day, which is quite frequently, I did not use more than 60% of that space. I also found that I did not use the dot grid once the whole month. While initially I thought the dot grid would be great for notes and jotting random things down (an inbox), I did not use it that way. In fact, I felt it would be messy and stress me out to look at throughout the day. The pace and overwhelm of my work necessitate a clean spread. Often, I cannot get to everything on my list and the dot grid caused some problems in task transfer to the next day as I had to keep flipping the page back and forth each day to transfer tasks. The Daily 13 has that nice 2 day spread. I also missed the weekly overview that comes with the Daily 13.
My ideal Daily would be the combination of the 13 and 15. I would love to see an insert combining the best of both! A 2 day spread, removing the dot grid page or perhaps moving a dot grid page to the end of the week. Three distinct sections of the task list stay, as in the Daily 15, as well as the clean time of day schedule (morning, afternoon, evening). Finally, keeping the Weekly Overview as in the Daily 13.
I know this was a long winded review; however, I wanted to give it the time and attention it deserves and hopefully help other out when making their decisions for 2025. I am still not sure what I want to use for 2025; however, I am leaning towards staying with my Daily 13 until some combo Daily with elements of what I outlined above, comes out..
